How to Rent PlayStation Games

In-store Rental

  Go to the nearest major video game and movie rental store. Almost all of these stores allow customers to rent or purchase video game systems and games. Examples of rental stores include GameFly, GameStop, Blockbuster Video and Hollywood Video.

  Set up a customer account at the rental store. You may have to provide a valid form of ID and a credit card in case the store has to charge you for late returns.

  Rent as many PlayStation games as you would like; most stores sort games by genre. You may then take the game to the reception desk and rent it for a price. Keep in mind that if you do not return it by the due date the store will charge you an extra fee.

Online Rental

  Rent PlayStation games online. Go to the website of any major video game rental store. For example both Blockbuster and GameFly allow you to rent games online. The game will then arrive to your mailbox in a few days and you can send it back via mail after a few days.

  Set up a user account on the store website. For example if you are on the Blockbuster site, click on the link that says "Sign Up." Follow the instructions and enter your name, address and contact number. You may also have to enter your credit card information. If you are on the GameFly website click on the "My Account" link and follow the prompt to set up a new account.

  Choose a rental plan. The various plans differ by how many games or movies you can rent at one time. Then follow the on-screen instructions to finalize your account information. When you are done, you can begin browsing through a library of games and select any ones that you want mailed to your home.
