Rugrats PS1 Games

"Rugrats" is a popular Nickelodeon animated series revolving around the adventures of the young Tommy Pickles, Chuckie Finster and Angelica Pickles. Since many children who watch television also play video games, "Rugrats" got the video game treatment. Several "Rugrats" games geared toward children debuted on the original PlayStation, known informally as PS1, during its life cycle.
  1. Rugrats: Search for Reptar

    • "Rugrats: Search for Reptar" hit US store shelves in November 1998. This PS1 game, developed by n-Space, Inc. and published by THQ, Inc., is a 3D adventure set in the "Rugrats" world." Tommy Pickles is on the lookout for his Reptar puzzle pieces, and it's up to players to locate all 12. Joining Tommy are Chuckie, Angelica, Phil and Lil. Players search throughout the Pickles' house, accessing 14 different levels. In each level, players must complete various tasks, such as gathering eggs under a time limit. "Rugrats: Search for Reptar" features bonus levels, as well as training and activities modes.

    Rugrats in Paris: The Movie

    • "Rugrats in Paris: The Movie" debuted on the PS1 in November 2000 to coincide with the movie release. In this Avalanche Software-developed game, players control the "Rugrats" characters through 16 different levels featuring 3D platforming game play. "Rugrats in Paris: The Movie" is set in Europe, more specifically Euroreptarland, where Tommy's father has been sent to fix a robot. Along the way, players help Chuckie find his lost teddy bear, complete carnival-themed challenges and access hidden bonus levels.

    Rugrats: Totally Angelica

    • The biggest brat in the "Rugrats" series got her own game for the PS1 with "Rugrats: Totally Angelica." In this action game developed by Art Co., Ltd, players take on the role of Angelica Pickles. Angelica needs to find the clothes necessary to win a fashion show, and its up to gamers to help her. "Rugrats: Totally Angelica" boasts six levels, each featuring a minigame challenge. Players get the opportunity to play as other "Rugrats" characters in these minigames. Upon completion of a level, the game awards players a new article of clothing to help complete Angelica's outfit.

    Rugrats: Studio Tour

    • Released in November 1999, "Rugrats: Studio Tour" is an action-adventure PS1 game developed by n-Space, Inc. Players search through Hollywood movie sets looking for Tommy's baby brother, Dil. "Rugrats: Studio Tour" features a total of 16 different levels spread out over four different areas, playable in any order. The game boasts cut-scenes and sound effects from the television show, as well as a multiplayer mode in which four players can join in on the action.
