How to Play Copied PSX Games on a PS2

The Sony PlayStation 2 has, for some time, been known as a console that could be modified so it can play imported games and bypass region protection. However, this wouldn't necessarily work with playing copied PSX games. There are a few ways that these kinds of games can be played, however, due to the PlayStation 2's ability to read other types of media. Just like it can read a music CD, it can read a backup copy of a PSX game.

Instructions

      Insert your Swap Magic 3 disc into your PlayStation 2 console.

      Press the "Eject" button.

      Remove the Swap Magic 3 disc and insert your copied PSX game. Close the drive.

      Take the tool that came bundled with your Swap Magic 3 disc, which is either the Slide Tool or the Flip Top Cover. Use the tool to slowly close the disc drive.

      Press "X" on the controller. Your game should load without a hitch.
