How to Use Special on Tony Hawk Pro Skater

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater features advanced skateboard gameplay, which has attracted a lot of gamers. Tricks that are unrealistic in real-life are common in the game. Filling the "special" bar allows for the use of special moves, which have a high point value and are impressive to witness.

  Perform tricks to fill the special meter. The bar will increase if you vary your tricks by using different arrows. Board spins, for example, are executed with the "square" button. If you already did a kickflip by pressing down and square, press a different arrow next time.

  Once you have the special meter full, hit a ramp or a quarter pipe that will provide a lot of air time. Depending on the character you are, the button presses for performing special tricks are different. As an example, for Bob Burnquist's backflip, press "up," then "down," then "circle."

  With a full special bar, you can also approach a rail or anything that you can grind. Some characters, like Geoff Rowley and Andrew Reynold, have grind specials. For example, to perform Jamie Thomas's one-footed nosegrind, press "up," "up" and "triangle," once you are near the rail.
