How to Play Downloaded PS1 Games

You can relive classic games from the original PlayStation on your PlayStation 3. While the PS3 lacks backwards compatibility with PS1 discs, you still can download several titles over the PlayStation Network. You'll need to ensure your PS3 is connected to the Internet before you can download classic titles such as "Final Fantasy VII," "Metal Gear Solid" and "Resident Evil."

     Use the left analog stick to scroll to the "Games" category in the main menu.

     Scroll up or down through the "Games" menu until you find the downloaded PS1 game you want to play.
