Crash Bandicoot

• "Crash Bandicoot," the first game in the series, is available for the PlayStation, PlayStation 3 and the PSP. This game features Crash attempting to defeat Dr. Neo Cortex and Dr. Nitrus Brio as they try to turn all of the animals in the world evil. Crash runs around solving puzzles and defeating enemies by jumping and spinning on them. The enemies in the game are monsters formed out of the innocent animals of the island. Save your girlfriend from being turned into an evil monster by defeating Cortex and Brio, and turn the rest of the animals back to normal. Most of the dozen or so games in the "Crash Bandicoot" series involve game play of this fashion.

Crash Team Racing

• Released in 1999 for the PlayStation and PlayStation 3, "Crash Team Racing" features Crash and his pals battling evil doctors in a racing tournament. The game has several different game modes, including head-to-head and story mode. You can also collect items and weapons to help you defeat your enemies including TNT and a leader-seeking weapon that knocks them silly.

Crash Bash

• One popular subgenre of games is the "party" game, or the minigame collection. The popular "Mario Party" series of games for Nintendo gaming systems feature players competing on a board game. Each square they land on begins a minigame in which the players must compete for points, lives and extra spaces. "Crash Bash," released in 2000, is the Crash Bandicoot version of this style of game. There are 28 different minigames that you and your friends must fight in including a crate-throwing battle and a four-way game of "Pong." "Crash Bash" should be played with more than one player.
