Things You'll Need
Instructions
Unplug your EyeToy. Wait a few seconds, and then plug it back in. This will clear the device's memory, which can solve a majority of problems that you're having. If your PlayStation console is having trouble recognizing your EyeToy, this can also help alert the console to its presence.
Enter the Settings menu for your EyeToy software. From here you can adjust the type of sounds that the EyeToy makes as well as the level of sounds that it is recording. This can help adjust a number of issues, such as poor recording levels as well as high-pitched interference.
Check your network connection. If you are using your EyeToy on the Internet and the person you are connected to reports that your camera appears choppy, this is probably not a problem with the EyeToy and instead a problem with your network settings. Enter the Network Connections menu on your PlayStation and make sure everything appears normal. Also, try resetting your network router to see if that fixes the issue.
Clean off the EyeToy's lens. If the image being recorded by the EyeToy appears distorted, it could be a problem with dust or dirt on the glass lens that protects the camera compartment. Use a dry, soft cloth to gently wipe the lens free of anything that may be obstructing it.
