Reel Fishing II
"Reel Fishing II" was made for people who want the closest thing to real live fishing. The game play is difficult, but that's because hooking a fish takes more than pressing the right buttons. Variables such as what bait to use, where and when to fish, as well as what techniques to use all come into play. There are over 70 types of fish ready to be caught along with 500 pieces of tackle that can be used to hook the big one. Other important factors in being successful include what depth to fish at and the speed at which you reel in your line. The graphics complement the game play, which further adds to the experience of the game. "Reel Fishing II" was released in June of 2000.
Bass Rise
"Bass Rise" was developed for video game lovers who want to try their hand at fishing. Gamers can catch largemouth bass, smallmouth bass and bluegill. While the fish available to catch might be limited, the depth comes in terms of collectible lures. Hundreds are available to be acquired by completing tasks and missions. The actual fishing takes place in lakes, canals and docks. The more you progress through the game, the more available areas you will have to catch the big one. Multiplayer mode allows up to four players to compete against each other for the biggest catch based on a limited number of casts. "Bass Rise" was released in September of 1999.
Championship Bass
"Championship Bass" is a bass angling simulation made for fishing enthusiasts who also like video games. The four main modes of game play are tournament, career, challenge and fishing trip. The lakes in the game are vast, and gamers have the option of toggling their camera underwater to look for fish. Being successful at this game depends on what bait you use, where you fish and how you use the bait. Another realistic aspect of the game is reeling the fish in. While a small fish may only take a minute, the larger ones can take you many more minutes to capture.
