How to Get a Rank in 'Resident Evil 2'

"Resident Evil 2" is the second installment in the "Resident Evil" video game series. You play as Leon Kennedy, a police officer who has just come to the city of Raccoon City. Once you have completed the game, you are given a rank. This rank tells you how well you did in the game and how much of a master you are in surviving a zombie attack. The ranks are from "S," being the best, to "D," the worst.

  Get an "S" ranking. To obtain the best ranking in the "Resident Evil 2" video game, you have to complete the game in under 1 1/2 hours. You cannot use any of the special weapons--for example, the all-purpose rocket launcher-- and you cannot get any weapon upgrades (weapon upgrades do a variety of things, such as speed up the weapon, power it up and increase the amount of bullets it can carry. In addition, you can use only one herb (which heals you) and you can pick up each weapon only once. This ranking is very difficult to get because you have to not only speed through the game, but you are at a serious disadvantage.

  Get an "A" ranking. To obtain the second-best ranking, you have to complete the game under three hours and can't use any first-aid sprays (you can still use herbs, though). The different between the two is that a first-aid spray is a combination of two green herbs, which makes it stronger than a single green herb. In addition, you cannot use any special weapons. This ranking is very difficult to obtain as well, but it is a lot more reasonable than the "S" ranking.

  Get a "B" ranking. To get the third-best ranking, the only thing you have to do is beat the game in under three hours.

  Get a "C" ranking. To get the fourth-best ranking, you have to finish the game in five to seven hours.

  Get a "D" ranking. To get the worst ranking in the game, you have to finish the game in seven hours or more.
