More Gold
You need gold to succeed in the world of Diablo and you will find plenty while adventuring through the sixteen levels. However, if it is not coming your way fast enough for you, simply enter a two-player game mode and give all the money to player two. Save the game, then reload and watch as player one pops up with all the coin he gave to player two, while player two still has the doubled-up gold supply. You can do this as often as you like to get unlimited wealth for purchasing magic weapons, armor, rings, amulets, spell books and other goodies. Also, do not be limited by the amount of gold you can carry, simply find a clearing in town and toss the money on the ground. It will still be there when you need it.
Double Down
You can easily duplicate an item, such as a magic potion or scroll. Simply find a clearing and toss nine items out of your inventory. This will fill all eight squares surrounding your player, as well as dropping the last item in the square your player occupies. Then, take the item you wish to duplicate and drop it. The item will stay in your inventory, and just outside the circle of items you dropped previously, a duplicate of the desired item will appear. Go over and pick it up and now you have two. You should use or sell the duplicated item immediately. If you drop it, the item will vanish and if you attempt to save your game while holding onto the duplicated item, the save may glitch causing you to lose everything
Butcher's Arsenal
When you defeat the Butcher, he will drop a magic item you can pick up. However, if this item does not tickle your fancy, there is a trick to getting something you would rather have. Just before engaging the Butcher, save the game. Once you have defeated him, if the item he drops is not what you want, reload the game and beat him again. Each time you defeat him, he drops a different item. Repeat this until you get what you really want.
