How to Find the Ruby Weapon in Final Fantasy VII

Late in "Final Fantasy VII," the player has the option of battling the hidden Weapon enemies. The Ruby Weapon is a powerful desert monster with a high hit point level and tough attacks. Defeating the Ruby Weapon rewards the player with the Desert Rose, which can be used to obtain the elusive Gold Chocobo from the traveler in Kalm.

Instructions

- 1
  Destroy the Ultimate Weapon boss. If the Ultimate Weapon flies away before you can finish it off, relocate it with the Highwind and continue the battle until it is dead.

  Enter into one random battle. If you do not fight a random battle after destroying the Ultimate Weapon, the Ruby Weapon will not appear.

  Head toward the desert near the Gold Saucer in either a Chocobo or the Highwind.
- 4
  Locate the red, wormlike object protruding from the ground. This is the Ruby Weapon's head.
- 5
  Touch the Ruby Weapon's head with your vehicle. You will see a flash of light and the Ruby Weapon will emerge from the ground and begin the battle.
