Spin Direction Effect

• The Beyblade can spin to the left or the right based on what launcher is being used. The direction each launcher spins the top is set and cannot be altered--the only way to change what direction the top spins is to change the launcher. The direction the top spins affects the stats of the attack rings. In most cases, left-spinning tops will have better offense and weaker defense than tops spinning to the right. The only exceptions are the Roaring Lion and Double Wing attack rings, which have better offense when the Beyblade is spinning to the right. Keep in mind the effect of spin direction when changing launchers. You may want to change your attack ring to compensate for the change in direction. The cost of a new attack ring can be justified to take advantage of the new launcher's direction.

Dragoon and Dranzer Bit Chips

• The Dragoon and Dranzer bit chips appear to give worse stats than most of the other options available. This is misleading, even considering the higher cost of these two bit chips. The Dragoon and Dranzer bit chips are capable of performing a special launch by using the "Square" button. The special launch powers up the Beyblade, making it more powerful overall. The added bonus of the special launch far outweighs the advantages the higher-stat bit chips (such as Draciel or Wolborg) seem to give.

Avoid Ring Outs

• It is quite easy to avoid having your Beyblade knocked out of the ring by saving your special attack. When your top appears to be going out of the ring, use any special power by pressing the "Circle," "Square" or "Triangle" buttons. Your top will warp to the center of the ring when the special power is used. The danger of ring out should be completely removed by moving to this location.
