Street Fighter Alpha 3 Hints

Street Fighter Alpha, also known as Street Fighter Zero, was the first new series of Street Fighter games released after Street Fighter II. Alpha 3 improved the combo system of 1 and 2 and added several functions in combat. The game also has a number of unlockable modes and characters. The game was released on several consoles, and this guide will focus on the PlayStation version.

Unlockable Characters
- By finishing the World Tour Mode at level 27 and defeating Guile in the final fight, or by clocking 80 hours on the game, you can unlock Guile. To unlock Evil Ryu, you can either reach level 30 in World Tour mode after beating Guile, or play till the game clock passes 120 hours. To unlock Shin Akuma, you can either defeat Shin Akuma after defeating Evil Ryu at level 32 or play until the game clock passes 180 hours. You can unlock Classic Balrog by either finishing the World Tour mode or playing until the game clock passes 8 hours.
Unlockable Modes
- To unlock Dramatic mode, finish the game at difficulty level 8 with any character. Final Battle mode can be unlocked by finishing Dramatic mode with both Juni and Juli and Ryu and Ken or by playing until the game clock runs past 60 hours. Unlock Dual Battle mode like Final Battle mode, or by having the game clock run past 30 hours. Classic mode is unlocked by finishing the game at difficulty level 4 or by running the game clock past 30 hours. Mazi mode can be unlocked the same way as Classic or by having the game clock run past 3 hours. Saikyou mode is unlocked by finishing the game at difficulty level 5 or having the game clock run past 5 hours.
  
  To select Classic, Mazi or Saikyou mode, hit the Select button during the character selection screens. Team Battle mode can be unlocked by beating double Chun-Li in World Tour mode in Hong Kong or by playing until the game clock passes 15 hours. Survival mode can be unlocked by finishing Point 48106 in World Tour mode or playing until the game clock runs past 15 hours.
Other Unlockables and Win Poses
- You can unlock a special introduction by playing until the game clock passes 48 hours. You can also fight Shin Akuma by holding L1 and L2 during or after selecting your character in Final Battle mode. To view a character's win poses, pick any character in Arcade mode, Versus mode, Dramatic Battle mode, World Tour mode, Survival mode or Team Battle mode. Right after you've knocked out your opponent, press and hold the Select button. Hit any attack button while holding Select, and your character will perform one of his win poses. Some characters as many as six win poses; others have only one.
