How to Read Umd Game Music Files

The Universal Media Disc is a format developed by Sony for use in their Portable PlayStation (PSP) handheld video game systems. The UMDs deliver video games but have also been developed to play music and movies. You can buy movies and music on UMDs specifically for playback in the PSP, just as you would games. Playing the music files on your UMD game disc is quite simple.

     Place the UMD Music disc into your PSP. Power on the device.

     Navigate to the right to select the "Music" tab of the PSP's XMB menu system.

     Press down on the directional pad to select the inserted UMD disc. Select the disc to launch it.

     Select the music tracks you'd like to play and press the "X" key to begin playback.
