Things You'll Need
Instructions
Turn the Sony PSP off and remove its battery from the rear of the device. Use the Phillips screwdriver to remove the four screws from inside of the battery bay.
Remove the two screws on the opposite side of the battery compartment. Remove the last screw from the bottom edge of the PSP.
Gently lift the PSP's faceplate off to expose the inner workings of the PSP. Locate the joystick assembly on the left side of the PSP.
Carefully pry up the joystick's nub by inserting your fingernails underneath the nub's edge and lifting up. The joystick will pop off. You can now replace it. Push the new joystick nub onto the joystick assembly.
Place the PSP faceplate back onto the PSP and reset and tighten all the screws.
