PSX Games Will Not Finish Loading on a PSP

Playing PlayStation 1 (PSX) games on your Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) is a way to expand the PSP's game library with older, yet still enjoyable games. If when you try to play the PSX game on the PSP, the screen freezes or the game simply does not load, you need to enable a plug-in in the PSP's recovery menu. Once the plug-in is enabled, the PSX game will load correctly and you will be able to play it on the PSP.

Instructions

      Turn off the PSP and hold the "Right" trigger.

      Turn the PSP back on and the PSP recovery menu will appear.

      Select the "Plugins" option at the bottom of the main menu of the recovery screen.

      Select the "Popsloader" option on the window that appears. It will say "Enabled."

      Select the "Back" option to return to the recovery main menu. Select "Exit" to reboot the PSP.

      Select the PSX game in the PSP menu's game section and the PSX game will now load up and you will be able to play it.
