How to Connect PSP to Neighbors Wireless

If your neighbor has a wireless Internet connection that you're picking up in your home, you can use that network to connect your PSP to the Internet. Often a wireless network will have a broadcasting range of 30 feet or more, so if you live in an area where the houses are close together you can likely pick up your neighbor's network from within your own home.

Instructions

    • 1

Select the "Settings" option (the option to the far left of the main crossbar menu system) on your Sony PSP.

    • 2

Select "Network Settings" (the option at the very bottom of the "Settings" menu) on your Sony PSP.

    • 3

      Choose "Infrastructure Mode."

    • 4

      Select "New Connection."

    • 5

Choose "Scan." If the position you are standing in with your Sony PSP is within the broadcasting range of your neighbor's Wi-Fi network, the name of that network will appear in the list on screen. Select it with the "X" button. If your neighbor's Wi-Fi network has a password on it, select the security type and type that password in now. Otherwise, select "None." If you don't know the password, you can ask your neighbor for it. If he doesn't give it to you, he doesn't want you using his Wi-Fi connection. Select "Save." Your Sony PSP is now on your neighbor's Wi-Fi network.
