Download and install an external USB controller program to the PC (see Resources). Reboot the computer if necessary. Double-click on the external USB controller icon to extract it.
Place the SD memory card into the PSP. Power on the PSP. Select "Settings," "USB Mode." Connect the PSP to the computer via the USB cable.
Launch the PSP icon onto the computer. Click and move the external USB controller program into the "Games" section of the SD card.
Click "Eject" on the PSP's SD memory card once the transfer is complete. Disconnect the PSP from the computer.
Turn the power off on the PSP. Connect one end of the USB female extension cable to the PS2 controller. Place the other end into to the male portion of the PSP USB cord.
Power on the PSP. Locate "Games" on the start up menu. Choose the external USB controller program. Press the "X" button to launch it.
