Directions to Connect a PSP to a TV

Later models of the PlayStation Portable (PSP), such as the PSP-2001 and PSP-3000, can be connected to a TV using a separate AV cable. Once the two are connected, you can play games and watch videos from the PSP on your TV. If you're using a standard definition TV, the composite AV cable is ideal. If you're using an HDTV, the component cable is best, as it is designed for use with high resolution sets.

Turn off the PSP. Connect the square end of the AV cable to the "Multi Use connector / Video Out" port on the bottom of the PSP.

If you're using composite, connect the red, white and yellow prongs to the red, white and yellow composite inputs on the TV.
