How to Activate the LocationFree Player on a PSP

A LocationFree player lets you watch television or recorded video from anywhere in your home. Using your PSP, you can watch anything from the device your LocationFree Base Station is connected to, like your DVR or your DVD recorder, through a wireless connection to the Internet. This device also allows you to watch live TV and change the channel on your PSP. By using the PSP's wireless LAN feature, you can watch television or movies from anywhere in your home. You can also watch television or movies away from home on your PSP by accessing your Base Station over the Internet.

Instructions

  Turn on the LocationFree Base Station by pressing the "Power" button. Confirm that your video device is connected to the audio and video input plugs on the Base Station. Make sure that the IR Blaster is connected properly to the Base Station, and is facing the video device's IR receiver.

  Connect a PC to your LocationFree Base Station. Complete the Wireless Mode Setup for Client by following the setup wizard.

  Turn on the "WLAN" switch on the PSP.

  Connect the PSP to your Internet router by scrolling under "Network" and clicking on the button that says "Internet Browser" on your PSP. It will automatically search for routers in the area; select your router to continue.

  Select "LocationFree Player" from under the section "Network" on your PSP. Click the "Start" button.

  Press and hold the button that says "Setup Mode" on your LocationFree Base Station until a light on the Base Station starts blinking. The PSP will then register the Base Station; this process is automatic. Press the "X" button when it is finished and you will be given the option to choose your network connection.

  Click on the wireless access point you want to use; a connection to your Base Station is established.
