How to Paint a PSP

If you are bored with the look of your PSP, you can paint the faceplate with a color of your choosing. Obviously, this could damage the unit if you paint it with the faceplate attached. That's why you will need to remove the faceplate before painting it.

Things You'll Need

Phillips screwdriver
Primer
Paint
Clear coat

Instructions

  Turn off your PSP and turn the unit over. Slide the battery door off the rear of the unit and remove the battery.

  Remove the seven screws on the back of the unit.

  Pry the front cover off the unit.

  Spray a the top cover with primer and wait 10 to 15 minutes for it to dry. Repeat this process three times to get three coats of primer.

  Spray paint (the color of your choosing) over the top cover and wait 10 to 15 minutes for it to dry. Repeat the process three times to get three coats of paint.

  Spray clear coat over the cover to protect the paint. Wait 10 to 15 minutes for it to dry. Repeat this process three or four times.
- 7
  Replace the top cover as well as the back screws of the PSP.
