Things You'll Need
Instructions
Download "Media Go" from the Sony website (see Resources). After the installation file has finished downloading, double-click it to begin the installation program, then follow the on-screen prompts. Sony recommends a computer with at least a 1-GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM and at least 200 MB of free HD space. The program will also install "Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0" and Adobe's "Flash Player 10" if these programs aren't already on your system.
Restart your computer once the installation is complete, then double-click on the "Media Go" icon on your desktop (or click "Start" and type "Media Go" in the search box). When the program opens, the "Media Go Setup Assistant" appears. Click "Next" and select all of the folders on your computer where you keep your media -- video, audio and pictures. You can use the assistant to add playlists from other media programs. Click finish and "Media Go" will compile libraries.
Connect your PSP to your PC using a USB cable. Turn on the PSP. The PSP should automatically detect the USB connection; if it doesn't, choose "Settings" from the menu and select "USB Connection." Your PSP will be added to the library navigation pane of "Media Go."
Select a media category or playlist in "Media Go" to access media that you wish to transfer to your PSP. Click on a single file that you wish to transfer, or highlight multiple files while holding down the "CTRL" key on your keyboard. With the files selected (highlighted blue), click on the "Add to" button in the bottom pane of the window. The transfer begins and a progress bar is displayed.
Disconnect the USB cable from your PSP when the transfer completes. Use the PSP menu to access your media, selecting "Video," "Music" or "Photos," and then selecting the specific files on the PSP interface. Check the PSP manual for compatible media types.
