My PSP Turns on but the Screen Is Blank

When you "brick" your Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP), you damage the bootloader or software that runs the PSP. Without repairing it, the PSP will never function properly again. Often the PSP will simply turn on, present a black screen and shut itself down. If this is the case, you need to use a service tool battery to reinstall the PSP's software. The service tool battery places the PSP into service mode, running alternative software from the memory stick and not the motherboard. From here the PSP can have new software installed, fixing the brick and bring the PSP back to life.
