How to Know My Motherboard in a PSP 2000

The Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) has been released in a quite a few variations since its introduction in 2005. The second release of the PSP was the PSP 2000. This was a slimmer, lighter version of the PSP, with a few motherboard types used in its production. Its important to know what motherboard your PSP 2000 has in case you need to replace internal parts on it.

      Turn off your PSP 2000 by sliding its power button up for five seconds..

      Slide the UMD (universal media disc) door release button to the side to open the UMD drive door. Remove any UMD game you may have inside of the PSP 2000.

      Look at the motherboard on the inside of the UMD drive. At the top-right corner of the UMD drive, you will see the type of motherboard on your PSP 2000.
