How to Make Your PSP Better With Free Downloads

Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) is a handheld gaming device that does more than play video games. Users can watch movies and television, play music and surf the Internet on their PSPs. There are numerous third party applications available that can increase the functionalities of your PSP, and many of these applications are free of charge.

PSP with an Internet connection
PSP memory stick
USB cord

Instructions

  Download Aleesoft Free MKV Converter to your computer (see Resources). Save this ZIP file to a location you will remember. This PSP application will facilitate your ability to watch downloaded videos on your PSP.

  Plug your PSP into your computer via the USB cord.

  Enable "USB mode" on your PSP. A dialogue window will pop up on your computer asking you how you would like to interact with your PSP. Select "Open folder to view files."

  Create a new folder in your main PSP folder, name it "Game." Within that folder, create another folder and name it "Update."

  Find the ZIP file for Aleesoft Video Converter, unzip the contents to your newly created "Update" folder on your PSP.

  Install the new program by navigating to the "Update" folder on your PSP from the home screen menu.
