How to Insert a Memory Stick for PSP Into a PC

The Playstation Portable allows you to add a Memory Stick Duo to the device to increase the storage capacity. Game saves, downloaded content, music and movies can be stored on Memory Sticks. The PSP acts as a card reader, allowing you to connect the Memory Stick to a PC using the PSP itself. Once connected, you can transfer files from the PC directly to the Memory Stick.

Instructions

    • 1

Insert the Memory Stick into the "Memory" slot on the PSP. Connect the PSP to your computer using the USB sync cable.

    • 2

Scroll to the "Settings" submenu on the PSP main menu (XMB) and select "USB Connection." Your PC will detect the PSP and Memory Stick. The autorun window will open.

    • 3

Click "Open folder to view files." A new folder containing all the content on the PSP and Memory Stick will open.
