Weight and Display
The PSP Slim weighed 6.7 oz., which was 33 percent lighter than the original PSP. It was 6.7 inches in width and 2.9 inches in height. The LCD screen supported a resolution up to 480 by 272, and although it remained 4.3 inches, it incorporated a new reflective technology that made it easier to see in direct sunlight.
Memory and Controls
The PSP Slim includes 64 MB of internal storage, double that of the original PSP. Like the other PSP models, a Memory Stick Duo card can expand the Slim's memory capacity to 32 GB. The directional pad remains the same, with four buttons pointing left, right, up and down. The face buttons and shoulder buttons remain unchanged.
Battery and Connections
As a result of the size reduction, the capacity of the battery was reduced to a quarter of the original PSP battery. The battery, which is replaceable, can take up to two hours to fully charge. The PSP Slim has a headphone port, USB port and AC input like the original, but also has a video out port so it can be connected to a TV.
