How to Delete All PSP System Updates

Sony's PSP system runs on an operating system that Sony frequently upgrades via firmware updates. You must either perform the updates wirelessly via a wireless Internet connection or by placing the update file onto your PSP system. If you use the latter method, you must afterward delete the PSP update file from your system's memory.

Instructions

    • 1

      Turn on the PSP system.

    • 2

Scroll to the "Games" section of the Cross Media Bar.

    • 3

Press the "Down" button on the D-Pad until you highlight the update file stored on the PSP system.

    • 4

Press the "Triangle" button and select the "Delete" option.

    • 5

Press the "X" button to confirm you wish to delete the update file. Allow several seconds for the deletion to finish.

    • 6

Repeat these steps for all update files on the PSP system.
