How to Disable the MagicGate Support for the PSP Slim

MagicGate is a digital rights management standard introduced by Sony with the unveiling of its Memory Stick Pro Duo line of flash memory storage devices. It was developed as a counterfeiting and piracy prevention technology, meant to lock out counterfeit products. The PSP Slim uses the Memory Stick Pro Duo format as its primary form of expandable memory. If you are having trouble with MagicGate support on your PSP Slim, you'll be glad to know that the fix is quite simple. The Memory Stick in question simply requires a format to return it to proper function.
