How to Start Up in Recovery Mode With a Pandora Battery

The Pandora Battery allows users to start their PSP system in "recovery mode," a mode that allows them to install custom firmware or downgrade the firmware of their system. With this custom firmware, users can use homebrew applications that were previously unavailable on the system. To start the system in recovery mode, users must simply remove their original battery, insert the Pandora Battery and turn on their PSP system.

     Slide the power switch up to turn off the PSP system.

     Push on the PSP's battery cover and slide the battery cover open.

     Remove the original battery from the battery compartment.

     Insert the Pandora Battery into the battery compartment.

     Slide the power switch up to turn on the PSP system. With the Pandora Battery inserted, the PSP will boot in recovery mode.
