PSP System Information

PSP is the short name for the PlayStation Portable. This hand-held gaming console made by Sony was the brand's first portable system, and it includes many features that other competing hand-held systems do not have.

Features
- Users of the PSP can play disc-based video games and online games, as well as digital audio, photo and video media. Users can download additional content onto a memory stick duo and play that content. The many accessories available for the PSP make it possible to customize the system and to expand on the functionality with products like cradles, loudspeakers and component cables.
Connectivity
- Unique to the PSP system is its connectivity. Multiplayer gaming, accessing the PlayStation Network and downloading apps like Skype are all possible. Once connected, users can browse the Internet, connect to a PlayStation 3 or even remotely access other devices like a PC, DVR or TV.
Models
- Different PSP models are available on the market. The basic models are the PSP go system and the PSP-3000 system. Although the basic features are the same, the PSP go system is much smaller than the standard-sized system. Sony also sells several PSP system bundles that include a game.
