Instructions
Formatting Games
Scroll to "Game" on the cross media bar. Scroll down to "Memory Stick" and press "X." Select the PlayStation game you wish to play, and press "X" to launch.
Press the "Home" button on the PSP to access the format menu. Scroll down to "Controller Settings" and press "X."
Highlight "Assign Buttons" and select type one through type four. Each type dictates the placement of the "R2" and "L2" buttons; the PSP only has one set of shoulder buttons. Press "X" to accept.
Scroll down to "Memory Card Utility" and press "X." Select between two virtual PlayStation memory cards and press "X." Highlight "Delete" and press "X." Select the data on the card you wish to delete and press "X" to confirm.
Highlight "Other Settings" and press "X." Select "Screen Mode." Change the screen size to original for the same aspect ratio as on a television, normal for a larger picture, zoom for an extra-large picture and full screen to stretch the image across the PSP screen. Press "X" to confirm.
Scroll to "Disc-Load Speed," and choose between normal and fast. Normal speed mimics the original PlayStation loading; fast speed shortens load times in the game.
