How to Connect a PSP 3000 to the Internet

Sony's PSP 3000 is a versatile and portable electronic device that can play video games, movies and music. It can also connect to the Internet wirelessly. If you have a wireless access point and want to connect your PSP to the Internet, you can do so with Sony's built-in wireless finder. Locate your connection and surf the web in just minutes.

  Slide the power switch on the right side of the PSP 3000 upward to turn it on.

  Push the directional stick to the left and stop once the "Settings" menu is highlighted.

  Push the directional stick down, then stop once the "Network Settings" menu is highlighted. Press "X" on the PSP 3000 to open the option.

  Press the "X" button to select "Infrastructure Mode."

  Select "New Connection," then "Scan." The PSP will scan for surrounding wireless networks. This process can take up to two minutes.

  Choose your wireless connection from the available list once the scan is complete, then follow the on-screen instructions to enable the Internet connection.
