Which PSP Basketball Games Have Infrastructure Mode?

The Sony PlayStation Portable handheld gaming system features the ability to play multplayer games over a wireless Internet connection using "Infrastructure Mode." Games featuring infrastructure mode gameplay can link with other PSPs via WiFi hotspots or home wireless networks. Many sports titles, including basketball games, have taken advantage of the PSP's infrastructure mode to allow for substantial multiplayer functionality.
  1. NBA

    • The 989 Sports developed "NBA" released for the PSP in March 2005 as a launch title for the handheld system. In addition to single-player modes such as "Practice," "Season" and "Playoff," the game featured an infrastructure online multiplayer modes for two players to face off via an Internet connection. "NBA" also featured ad-hoc multiplayer allowing for two players to face each other locally by connecting their PSPs wirelessly.

    NBA Live 06

    • Released in October 2005, the Electronic Arts-developed "NBA Live 06" transitions features from the "NBA Live" franchise to the handheld PSP system. In addition to standard modes such as "Exhibition" and "Season," the game features additional mini-games, allowing players to recreate famous NBA moments. "NBA Live 06" offers infrastructure mode online multiplayer, allowing for two players to face off over a network connection. The game also features local ad-hoc multiplayer.

    NBA 07

    • Developed by Sony, "NBA 07" was released in September 2006 as a counterpart to the console versions of the game. In addition to standard exhibition, playoff and practice modes, "NBA 07" features "All-Star Weekend" mode, offering such mini-games as the 3-point contest and dunk contest. Internet-based infrastructure multiplayer is supported for two players, as well as local gameplay via an ad-hoc connection.
