How to Sync a Video to a PSP

With the Sony PlayStation Portable's ability to store and play videos files, owners are quick to load their favorite TV shows and movies to the device for portable viewing. As long as your video files are stored on your computer, transferring them to the PSP is an easy task. Properly connect and sync the files to the PSP and take advantage of the device's wide-screen display.

  • Memory Stick Duo

Instructions

      Connect the PSP's USB cable to the cable dock on the PSP and your computer's USB port.

      Slide the power switch on the right side of the PSP down, insert the Memory Stick Duo into the card slot, then slide the switch back up.

      Navigate to the "Settings" menu from the PSP's main screen and select "USB Connection."

      Open "My Computer" on your personal computer and open the "Memory Stick Duo" folder. The PSP may also be recognized as a removable hard drive.

      Create a new folder within the "Memory Stick Duo" folder and name it "VIDEO."

      Drag and drop saved videos on your computer's hard drive into the newly created "VIDEO" folder. Allow your computer to transfer the files to your PSP's memory card, then disconnect the PSP from the computer's USB port once the transfer is complete.
