How to Download & Update the PSP

The Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) uses a simple Sony update process in order to update the PSP's firmware. Firmware is what runs the PSP and it is updated often. The updates include new features and a more stable gaming experience. Often, newer games require that you update to the most recent firmware revision. This is usually because newer games require the use of the newer features of updated firmware.
