How to Make Portable PSP Charger

Having a portable game system like the PlayStation Portable is great, until the battery runs out. Making a portable charger for your PSP is an excellent way to extend the life of your game system far beyond the means of PlayStation's simple battery pack. With a homemade battery pack that runs on AAA batteries, you can have near-limitless charge time, because all you need are batteries.

Things You'll Need

AAA battery holder
4 AAA batteries
Coaxial DC power plug
Wire strippers/ cutters
Electrical tape

Instructions

  Place the four AAA batteries into the battery holder. Make sure that all the batteries are placed in the proper way, with negative and positive ends where they are supposed to be.

  Cut the DC power cord with the wire strippers. You will want to leave at least five inches of cord from the tip of the power plug, not the wall adapter.

  Strip the wire casing from two inches of the wire of the cut end of the cord. Tape the negative wire, which is usually black or has a black line on it, to the negative end of the battery holder. Tape the positive end of the wire to the positive end of the battery holder.

  Plug the adapter plug into your PSP adapter port.
