How do I Use a PSP Charger in Place of a Pandora Battery?

The Pandora battery places the Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) into service mode. Once the PSP is in service mode, custom firmware can be installed. Once the PSP battery is converted into a Pandora battery, it cannot be used as a normal battery unless you normalize it. Using a PSP charger is the only way to power the PSP on without the battery in the device. Once the PSP is turned on the Pandora battery can be placed into the device and be used as a normal battery.

     Remove the PSP Pandora battery from the device and place it to the side. Insert the PSP charger into the wall and connect it to your PSP.

     Turn the PSP on and wait for it to boot into the PSP operating system, the XrossMediaBar (XMB).

     Insert the Pandora battery back into the PSP with the PSP still on and connected to the charger.

     Unplug the charger from the PSP and the PSP will remain on, using the power from the Pandora battery.
