Star Wars Battlefront II
Developed by Pandemic Studios, "Star Wars Battlefront II" offers third-person class-based shooting gameplay similar to the "Battlefield" series of PC games. Offering the ability to play in familiar "Star Wars" locations, players can engage in space combat, pilot numerous types of vehicles and play as "Star Wars" heroes and villains. Star Wars Battlefront Renegade Squadron
Exclusive to the PSP, the Rebellion-developed "Renegade Squadron" continues the style of gameplay present in "Battlefront II" while introducing the ability to customize your character's appearance, weapons and abilities. Featuring a story focused on a group of soldiers commanded by Han Solo, "Renegade Squadron" is also available for download from the PlayStation Network.
Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron
Released in 2009, "Elite Squadron" is the latest game in the PSP "Battlefront" games as of 2010. Developed by Rebellion, the game focused on a clone fighting alongside the Rebel Alliance while continuing the "Battlefront" gameplay of the previous installments. "Elite Squadron" is available for download on the PlayStation Network.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
Relased in conjunction with the console versions of the game, the Krome Studios-developed "Force Unleashed" features action-platform gameplay based around the story of Darth Vader's secret apprentice, "Starkiller." Containing different level layouts than other versions of the game, "Star Wars: The Force Unleashed" for the PlayStation Portable is also among the downloadable PSP titles on the PlayStation Network.
Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy
Adapting the original trilogy of "Star Wars" movies to an art style and gameplay inspired by LEGO toys, "Lego Star Wars II" features platforming gameplay mixed with puzzle solving for an experience geared towards families. Developed by Traveller's Tales, "Lego Star Wars II" for the PSP features numerous levels, characters and unlockables from the first three "Star Wars" films. As of August 2010, "Lego Star Wars II" was not available for download through the PlayStation Network.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars---Republic Heroes
Based on the "Clone Wars" animated series, "Star Wars: The Clone Wars---Republic Heroes" is an action-platform game developed by Krome Studios. Featuring full-voice acting and a number of unlockables, the PSP version did not support the co-op gameplay found in other versions of the game. "The Clone Wars" is available as a downloadable title from the PlayStation Network.
Star Wars: Lethal Alliance
Developed by Ubisoft Montreal, "Star Wars: Lethal Alliance" is an action game focusing on a period of time between the "Revenge of the Sith" and "A New Hope" films. Players take the role of Rianna, a mercenary working to steal the plans for the Death Star. A third-person action platforming game, as of August 2010, "Lethal Alliance" was not available for download on the PlayStation Network.
