How to Replace PSP Faceplates

The Sony PSP has a plastic faceplate on the front of the device that cover its internal parts. This faceplate can be removed and replaced. This might be needed when the case fractures or to simply change the color of the PSP. The design of the PSP makes it simple to remove the faceplate by turning a few screws.

Things You'll Need

Phillips screwdriver
Replacement PSP faceplate

Instructions

  Remove the battery from the PSP to reveal the warranty sticker. Slowly peel back the warranty sticker and you will see two screws. Remove these screws and the two screws above the sticker.

  Remove the two screws on the opposite end of the PSP battery bay and the final one on the bottom edge of the PSP.

  Gently lift the PSP faceplate off of the PSP. Place the new PSP faceplate onto the PSP and snap it into place.
- 4
  Replace and tighten the seven screws previously removed to secure the new faceplate to the PSP. Reinsert the battery into the PSP battery bay.
