Adding an External Hard Drive to a PS3

The Sony PlayStation 3 (PS3) comes with an internal hard drive, but you can add an external hard drive to help increase your storage capacity. The PS3 can only read the FAT32 file system from external drives, so your external hard drive must be formatted into this system. Once connected, you can save movies, music, photos and even game data to the new hard drive.
