How to Play Flash Games in PSP with No Internet

From single-screen blasters to multi-level quests, Flash games offer a free way to enjoy quick bursts of gaming. PSP owners can make use of Flash games through the console's internal Internet browser. If you don't have access to a wireless Internet connection or want to play Flash games without your PSP being online, you can download the Flash games on your computer and transfer them to a Memory Stick Pro Duo inserted into your PSP.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to a website on your computer that features downloadable Flash games. Websites include PSP Flash Gaming, Flash Game Fans and PSP On Me.

    • 2

Select the game you wish to play on your PSP and choose the option to download it. Save the SWF file of the game onto your computer's desktop.

    • 3

Insert a Memory Stick Pro Duo into your PSP. Power on the console and connect it to your computer using a USB connector. The connector has a USB plug on one end for the computer and a mini-USB plug on the other for your PSP.

    • 4

Scroll to "Settings" on the PSP cross media bar. Scroll down to "USB Connection" and press "X." The memory stick will display on your computer in a folder.

    • 5

Create a new folder within the memory stick called "downloads" or "flash." Do not name the folder "Games" as this is already used by your PSP.

    • 6

Drag and drop the SWF file of your saved Flash game into the folder you created on your PSP.

    • 7

Press "Circle" on your PSP to disconnect from your computer.

    • 8

Scroll to "Network" on the cross media bar and select "Internet Browser." Press "Triangle" to access the address bar. You will not access the Internet, but your memory stick.

    • 9

Enter "file:/foldername/flashgame.swf" without quotation marks. Plug in the folder your Flash games are in for the "foldername" portion and the name of the game file for the "flashgame" portion. Press "X." Press "X" again to confirm the Flash plugin and begin the game.
