Instructions
Inspect your AC adapter and power cord for damage. Look for cracks and splits in the wire. A damaged adapter or cord will not charge safely.
Verify that your AC adapter is licensed for use with a Sony PSP. Licensed adapters have a Sony PSP certified logo. The use of accessories not licensed by Sony will void any warranty and may damage your PSP.
Check the outlet you are using. Verify that it is functioning correctly by plugging in another electronic device or try plugging the PSP into another electrical outlet.
Purchase or borrow another AC adapter and power cord. Your adapter or cord may have unseen damage that is preventing your PSP from charging correctly.
Remove the battery. Attempt to power on your PSP by using the AC adapter and power cord plugged into an electrical outlet.
Unplug the power cord and AC adapter. Replace the battery correctly in your PSP. Plug the power cord and AC adapter in and attempt to charge.
Contact Sony PSP customer service. If after trying attempting all of these steps your PSP will not charge, contact Sony PSP customer service.
