How to Set PSP Music to Group Mode

The PlayStation Portable isn’t just for playing your favorite games. You can watch videos, browse the Internet and listen to music. Listening to music on your PSP works much like an MP3 player or listening to music on a computer. Groups on a PSP are similar to playlists. Setting the PSP to "Group Mode" while listening to music will enable the playback to play songs in groups.

  Power on your PSP.

  Select “Music” from the home screen.

  Choose where you will be playing music from--either saved on the system, the memory card or a UMD.

  Press “X” to view the music.

  Choose a song to play by pressing “X.”

  Press "Triangle" on your PSP to open the Control Panel.

  Enable “Group Mode” by selecting the icon that resembles a cube. Do not select the cube icons that have the plus or minus signs on them; select the plain cube icon. When you set the PSP to "Group Mode," it will play whatever group the song you selected is in.
