How to Install PMP Player

A portable media player, or PMP, is any portable device that can view pictures, video and music. An MP3 player counts as a portable media device, and so can a cell phone. To transfer media files from the device to your computer, or vice versa, you must attach it (or install it) to your computer. Each portable media device should come with its own compatible USB cable to quickly install it to any computer.

     Place your player on your desk with the USB cable port exposed. The connecting port may be under a cover with the USB symbol on it.

     Connect the USB cable to an open port on your computer.

     Connect the other side of the USB cable to the device.

   • 4

     Turn on the device.

   • 5

     Wait for the drivers to install to the computer. Options to open the items on the device will appear when the drivers finish installing.
