Things You'll Need
Instructions
Remove the battery from the battery bay on the rear of the PSP and remove the four screws underneath the battery. Remove the two screw on the opposite end and the last screw on the bottom edge of the PSP. Place the seven screws to the side for now.
Pull the PSP faceplate off of the PSP gently. Place aside. Pull up on the left side of the PSP button bar and it will pop off. Unplug the button bar connector from the PSP. This will release the button bar completely from the PSP. Place aside.
Insert your small screwdriver in between the screen housing and the screen bracket. Slowly twist the bracket away from the housing and the mounting tabs will pop out. Gently release the opposite side of the screen and fold it down 90 degrees. This will reveal the screen connector cables. Unhook the two cables and remove the screen from the PSP.
Insert the new touchscreen into the PSP in the same 90-degree position, folded out of the PSP screen bracket. Reconnect the cables and place the screen into the PSP. Reconnect the button bar and snap it into place. Place the PSP faceplate back onto the PSP and tighten the screws. Turn the PSP back on and you can begin to use the touch screen.
