Instructions
Slide the WLAN (wireless local area network) switch, located on the top edge of your PSP console, into the "On" position.
Enter the "Settings" menu on your PSP's main menu screen. From the drop-down list of options, select "Network Settings" and press the "X" button. Choose "Infrastructure Mode" to begin configuring your PSP to detect the WiFi connection.
Press the "X" button on the "New Connection" option. On the next screen, with the heading "WLAN Settings," choose the "Scan" option from the list of commands. Use the right arrow key to move to the next screen. Your PSP will now scan for available WiFi networks.
Highlight the WiFi network's SSID (network name) from the displayed list of discovered networks. Select the free network by pressing the X button, and at the next screen, press the right arrow to confirm the name of the SSID.
Choose the type of WLAN security setting (WEP or WPA) used by the wireless access point, and press the right arrow button to continue. If the WiFi network is not password-protected, simply highlight "None" before continuing. Enter the WPA Key (network password) for the WiFi network using the PSP's onscreen keypad, then select "Enter." Select "Easy" at the "Address Settings" screen.
Name your WiFi network connection. This is the name your PSP will display for the network and will help you find it easily in the future. Use the right arrow once again to confirm the settings you have entered, and then press the "X" button to save them.
Test your new free WiFi connection by selecting the "Test Connection" option. Your PSP will now connect to the wireless network and display a final confirmation screen showing you the connection has succeeded.
