How to Create a PSP Pandora JigKick Battery

Creating a JigKick battery consists of modifying a spare PSP battery to allow the PSP to access its service mode. A JigKick battery is often mistaken as a Pandora's battery, which is actually both the Magic Memory Stick and the JigKick battery combined. There are two methods to creating a JigKick batte: software and hardmod. Newer versions of the PSP and battery no longer allow the software method of modding.

Things You'll Need

• Extra PSP battery
• Sharp knife
• Small screwdriver
• Tape

     Carefully open the battery by cutting along the outside of the case where the two halves meet with your knife.

     Remove the top of the battery casing to expose the memory card.

   • 3

     Locate the connecter labled ICO4 or CO4 depending on your battery.

   • 4

     Remove the fifth pin leg of the ICO4/CO4 chip.

   • 5

     Tape the battery back together and insert it back into the PSP.
