How to Set Up PSP Memory Card

The Memory Stick Duo is the designated memory card used for Sony's PSP (PlayStation Portable) device. With a memory card, users can store music, video and game files to increase the capacity of their PSP. If you are using your Memory Stick Duo for the first time, however, you may need to format it for use with your computer and PSP.      Turn off your PSP, insert the Memory Stick Duo, and turn the PSP back on again.

     Push the analog stick on the PSP to the left and stop on the "Settings" menu.

     Scroll down and press "X" over "System Settings."

     Scroll down to the "Format Memory Card" option and press "X" once. Press "X" over the "Yes" option to confirm the formatting of the memory card. The memory card is now set up for use.
