How to Download the WakeUp Clock for a PSP?

The WakeUp Alarm Clock homebrew application is a program designed to turn your Sony PlayStation Portable into an alarm clock. The program is easy to download but, since it only comes as a RAR file archive that must be unpacked before use, you can't download it directly to your PSP. As long as you can link your Windows or Mac computer to your PSP, you should have no trouble adding alarm-clock capability to your device.

Instructions

    • 1

Download the WakeUp Clock RAR file from the Quick Jump Gaming Network website to your computer.

    • 2

Open the RAR archive and extract the files by double clicking the "17270_WakeUp2.rar" file. A folder named "PSP" will appear in the same directory.

    • 3

Open the "PSP" folder, where you'll find another folder named "GAME." Open the "GAME" folder and you'll find the folder named "PSP_ALARMA."

    • 4

Connect your PSP to your computer using the mini USB cable, the kind commonly used by digital cameras, and put the PSP into USB Mode by selecting "USB Settings" from the "Settings" menu on the XMB dashboard.

    • 5

Open the PSP memory stick by double-clicking the corresponding icon that appears in My Computer for Windows users or Desktop for Mac users. Find the "GAME" folder.

    • 6

Drag-and-drop the "PSP_ALARMA" folder from your computer to the "GAME" folder in your PSP memory stick. The program acts like a game, so when you want to use it, you'll find it by accessing the memory stick through the Game menu on the XMB dashboard.
